National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level entrance exam. The exam is conducted for admission to medical, dental courses in India (except AIIMS and JIPMER). AIIMS and JIPMER institutions conducts their own entrance exam for admission to MBBS course. The exam is also conducted for admission to all the AYUSH courses available in the country. NEET 2019 exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA)
Candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear for the exam. Eligiblity Criteria is as follows- -Candidates should have qualified class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Candidates are also required to pass individually in all these subjects. - Candidates belonging to general category are required to have scored 50 percent minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Reserved category candidates (including PH reserved) must have 40 percent minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and Physically Handicapped candidates should have 45 percent minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. - Minimum age limit to appear for the exam is 17 years. Also, there is no limit on permitted number of attempts. Application Date of NEET 2019 exam is over. NEET 2019 application forms were released on November 1, 2018 and the last date to register was December 7, 2018. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2019.
