No, if you have missed the extended date, you may not be able to change your category now. It is recommended that you write an application and send it to the NEET head office in New Delhi. The application should be enclosed with your EWS certificate. You may also have to visit the head office if you get no reply from e-mail. So, start writing your application as soon as possible and hope for the best.

Dear Harleen, if you missed the opportunity of correcting the Category to EWS, unfortunately you cannot claim it during Counselling. You will be considered a General Category Candidate. This is because the merit list will be prepared according to the marks scored in NEET and the Category you chose. No last minute changes will be allowed.
