Generally around 5 year work experience and GMAT/CAT scores, rest depends on how impressive they find your profile and how well you do in your interview (if you get called for it). Here are the details:

For IIM-A Following are the basic criteria for the PGPX Application:

A) A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in any discipline. (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India i.e. KG to 12 +2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be.)

B) Minimum Age of 27 years as on 31st March of the year in which the PGPX programme commences. (E.g. For PGPX 17-18 commencing in April 2017, the candidate should have completed 27 years of age by March 31, 2017, i.e. must be born on or before March 31, 1990.) There is no upper age limit.

C) Valid GMAT score (GMAT scores are valid for five years from the test date to the application deadline date of the round in the candidate is appliying. The earliest acceptable GMAT test date for the two rounds are: Round 1- 11 September 2011 and Round 2 -14 November 2011)

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidate is based on professional experience, Academic record, GMAT score and personal interviews. In addition to this candidates are required to submit a statement of purpose and recommendations from two refrees holding senior managerial positions. These are also taken into consideration in the final selection.

Eligibility Criteria

Executives with a bachelor's degree ( minimum 10+2+3 years of formal education) or equivalent in any discipline and more than 5 years of post qualification managerial/professional experience may apply. A valid GMAT score (taken within last 36 months of Application date) is also required.
