It is helpful or not helpful that only will be decided by yourself only because since you have completed your UG from the Electronics and Communication Engineering and then you want to study your PG in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering you can shift your branch based upon the respective cuttoff of that branch and upon the college / UNIVERSITY in which you are applying for as well in your requirements too .
