Both are good. But again it depends which IIT you plan to take admission in because IIMs are renowned from the very start and IIT have started few years back starting with IIT Kharagpur.

Whether its a brand or no brand, your efforts have to be high to prove your worth.

IIM's will be a first preference incase you get an average IIT.
