You should try to pursue some internships based on your graduation subject or you can pursue some courses like Advance Excel till the time you get your admission through CAT 2020. That way you can add something to your profile and if you're asked in your PI about the academic gap you can straightforwardly say that Management was your calling and you can convince them based on your knowledge. The real problem you may face is during the placement process where some companies like Tata Motors, Vedanta, Vedanta, Capgemini, TCS and some others don't accept a year gap for more than 1 year. But there will be plethora of other organizations who care only for a candidate's knowledge.

Just prepare well for CAT and try to showcase your knowledge in front of the interviewers during your selection process and you'll get through.
