I completed my M.Sc. in Applied Statistics & Analytics in 2023 and been working as a Data Scientist/AI-ML Developer around 1.5 years. But I always have a dream to become a pilot since my childhood. I completed my 10+2 with PCM. Is there any opportunities to pursue my dream now in India?

Hello,

Yes, there are opportunities to pursue your dream of becoming a pilot in India even now:

  1. Commercial Pilot License (CPL): You can enroll in a flying school approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to obtain a CPL.
  2. Eligibility: You must be at least 17 years old and have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.
  3. Training Duration: Training typically takes 18-24 months, including theory and practical flight hours.
  4. Costs: Training can be expensive, ranging from Rs. 25-40 lakhs.
  5. Medical Fitness: You need to pass a Class 1 medical examination.
  6. Airline Pilot Jobs: After obtaining a CPL, you can apply to airlines.

Hope it helps !
