With an EWS rank of 23,500 in JEE Mains 2025, it’s very difficult to get a seat in any NIT or IIIT through JoSAA counselling, even in the last round.

Generally, for EWS category, NIT and IIIT seats in most branches close well before the 10,000 rank mark. However, you can still try for:

1. Special rounds (CSAB counselling) – Sometimes lower-ranked seats are available.
   
   

2. Less popular branches or remote NITs/IIITs – Very slim chances, but worth trying.

Keep backup options like state counselling or private colleges ready.
