Yes you can get admission In Thapar University but you can't get computer engineering or electronics  .You will get civil and mechanical in Thapar.

But in punjabi university you can get any branch you want .

So according to me if you want a good experience and exposure you must join thapar university .But if you want to pursue computer engineering then you can take admission in punjabi university.
