One thing I liked about the university is the amount of space available on campus. The Computer department has computer labs and classrooms that are good enough for regular classes and practicals. The library is also useful when you need a quiet place to study. Some buildings and facilities could use better maintenance, but overall the infrastructure is decent
My experience with studies has been a mix of good and average. Some teachers explain the subjects really well, while in a few subjects students have to do extra preparation themselves. The Computer course covers the important basics, but students should also learn coding and current technologies outside the syllabus to be properly prepared.
Placements are probably the area where I expected a little more from the university. Companies do visit the campus, but the number of good opportunities is not very high compared with top private colleges. students should start preparing for coding tests, projects and interviews early.
The biggest advantage for me is that the overall cost is more manageable than many private engineering colleges. The university provides the basic facilities and resources needed for the degree without putting the same financial burden on students.
There is more to college life here than just attending lectures and going back home. The university has a large campus with students from different courses, so there are plenty of chances to meet new people. overall campus life is balanced and happy.
Punjabi University has a big campus with most of the facilities needed by CSE students. The computer labs are useful for practical work and the library is good when you want to study peacefully. The campus has a lot of open space too.
The teaching is decent and most teachers are helpful when you ask them about a topic. The CSE syllabus covers the main computer subjects. Professor are only average. They don't even give extra time to solve any doubt after the lecture.
Placements are average. Some companies visit the campus, but the options are not the same for every student or every year. For CSE students average package is not High it is about 5-6 lpa only.not satisfied with placement cell too.
The fees are comparatively manageable and students get access to the university's facilities. You do need to put in your own effort to learn extra skills and make the degree more useful. Fees per year is very low which is approximately 1.4 lakh including hostel.
The campus is large and there is usually something going on around the university. Campus is also have greenery and support staff is also good to help each other. Location is with in main city only ie Patiala
The campus is pretty big and has the basic facilities needed for my computer science branch. Computer labs are available for practical classes and the library is useful for studying. Some classrooms and facilities could be better maintained, but overall the infrastructure is okay for regular college life.
The academics are average. Teachers are helpful and explain things properly most of the time. Some subjects are easy to understand while a few need extra effort from the student side. quality of teaching is average only as curriculum is not updated till now.
Placements are okay, but they are not the strongest part of the college. Some companies visit for recruitment, but students should not completely depend on campus placements. If you want a good job in computer branch then start learning coding and make project
I feel the college is worth considering if you want a B.Tech at a reasonable cost. The fees are not as high as many private colleges and you get the basic facilities along with a big campus. You just need to put in your own effort to improve your skill
Campus life is actually one of the better things here. The university campus is quite large and there are students from many different courses. You get to meet different people and take part in events, sports and other activities. it is situated in starting of cities.
Punjabi university has a large and spacious campus with 70 teaching and research departments and has a numerous regional centres which supports the students learning and student life. The university also provides a residential and recreational facilities to the students. It has auditoriums and seminar halls for events, competitions, and cultural festivities.
Punjabi university offers students a ungraded modern classrooms and technology-enabled equipments so that they learn better and improve their skills and knowledge. The faculty of the university is very experienced with almost of them have a ph.d in their disciples and has an industry-oriented background which really helps the students.
The placements of the university is good with the high placement rate and many students get placed in the recognised organisation. While the university also have a placement cell which focuses on strengthening the students capabilities and skills do that they can get placed in any organisation and don’t have any problem in the future.
I am a student of SSD Girls' College, Bathinda. The college has a well-developed infrastructure that provides a comfortable and supportive environment for learning. The campus is clean, safe, and equipped with modern facilities for students. It has spacious classrooms with proper ventilation and seating arrangements, which help students focus on their studies. The college also has well-equipped computer and science laboratories for practical learning. The library is one of the major strengths of the college. It contains thousands of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and digital learning resources that help students gain knowledge beyond the classroom. The college provides hostel facilities for students coming from different areas. The hostel offers a secure and comfortable living environment with essential amenities. Sports facilities such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess, and athletics are also available to encourage physical fitness and overall development. In addition, the campus has a cafeteria, auditorium, gymnasium, Wi-Fi connectivity, and various student support facilities. Overall, the infrastructure of SSD Girls' College, Bathinda plays an important role in providing quality education and promoting the all-round development of students.
SSD Girls' College, Bathinda provides a good academic environment for students. The teachers are experienced, supportive, and help students understand concepts in a simple way. Regular classes, assignments, presentations, and tests help students stay focused on their studies. The college follows the syllabus of Punjabi University and conducts examinations according to university guidelines. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, Computer Applications, and Management. Teachers encourage students to participate in seminars, workshops, and academic activities to improve their knowledge and skills. The library and computer labs are useful for study and research work. The academic atmosphere of the college is disciplined and student-friendly. Most faculty members are approachable and ready to help students with their academic problems. The college also focuses on personality development, communication skills, and career guidance, which helps students prepare for future opportunities. Overall, SSD Girls' College, Bathinda provides a satisfactory academic experience with good teaching, regular academic activities, and a supportive learning environment for students.
SSD Girls' College, Bathinda provides placement and career guidance support to students. The college organizes career counseling sessions, workshops, seminars, and skill development programs to improve students' employability. Students are guided on resume writing, interview preparation, and communication skills. Placement opportunities are available, especially for students from Commerce, Computer Applications, and Management courses. However, compared to large universities and professional institutes, the number of campus placements is moderate. Many students choose higher studies after graduation, while others secure jobs through off-campus recruitment and personal efforts. The college's placement cell works to connect students with companies and inform them about job opportunities. Internship opportunities and training programs also help students gain practical experience. Overall, the placement support at SSD Girls' College is satisfactory. Students who actively participate in skill-development activities and maintain good academic performance have better chances of securing good job opportunities after completing their studies.
The university environment reflects a legacy-driven academic culture.Laboratories and research facilities are oriented toward core pharmaceutical sciences, supporting experimentation, analysis, and thesis work. Rather than being flashy, the infrastructure emphasizes function, continuity, and academic seriousness, which suits postgraduate research well.
Teaching here encourages independent thinking and academic maturity. Faculty members expect students to read extensively, question concepts, and justify their work. Guidance is subtle but meaningful, pushing students to grow into self-reliant researchers rather than passive learners.
Placements at Punjab University are research-oriented rather than corporate-heavy. The university does not rely on mass placement drives; instead, it builds academic credibility that opens doors to PhD programs, research institutes, regulatory roles, and academic positions.
The true return on investment is intellectual credibility. The degree holds strong academic recognition, making it valuable for long-term careers in research and higher education.
Life as an M.Pharm student is quiet, rigorous, and reflective.Discussions, library hours, lab work, and peer debates define the experience. It’s a space where growth happens gradually, shaped by patience, discipline, and focus.
Completing my M.Pharm in 2027 at Punjab University (Patiala–Chandigarh) felt like stepping into an institution where knowledge carries weight and tradition shapes discipline.
Its been almost 3 years since i have been living in this university . The infrastructure is very bad . There is sewerage leakage in every second spot of the university. Even in front of my department , the sewerage problem has been existing since last year and none step was taken by the university authorities. I dont know about other departments, however in my department there is no water filter facility. We have to carry our own water everywhere. The bathrooms are so dirty and even the dogs scatter bins in the bathroom and carry used sanitary napkins everywhere. Its very unhygenic . Even in the hot spot of the university called GOL MARKET, where student gather together to eat and have fun, there is sewer water everywhere even near the place where there is a DHABA and people eat lunch dinner from it. And there is not much sitting spot available in the universities and gol market edpecially.
Academics is fine not very great . There is not much motivation here by teachers or anyone else. Departments dont grind students. I suggest organising seminars where successful people are called to give soeech and share their experiences but that doesnt happen there.
Not even a single placement here . Since its a government university, no such placement in any department is available. They dont even try. Its just working because its a university however no such effort they make.
No value for money. My university is bakrupt. Teachers are not getting paid , not rven non teaching staff. They are taking fees but not using it in any improvement . I dont know where the money they take from us goes.
Campus is bad. Best features none but worst features everywhere. There is no extra curricular activity happening . Only 1 fest a year is organised by student of BTTM. No other thing has been happening since i took admission here.
overall the campus is so big and there are many departments and building as a new student you can get confused to find yours. but the buildings are like old and typical like a govt university so they need to improve buildings.
the academics are good and there are various events and auditoriums activities etc are done . i was a BBA student and syllabus is good also the teachers are good but they need to improve the syllabus more according to industry.
placement system is weak here most of students get jobs and internships by themselves i personally didn't get any placement offer or even there is no placement given to me they ask to do MBA then you can get any placement offer.
the fees for general students if full like my fees was 38500 per semester but the students of reserved castes get max benefits there fees is almost nil .
average experience .
Infrastructure of the university was quite good, as AC were provided in the university and they also functioned well. Tables in the classrooms are also well furnished. Podiums, blackboard and white boards were provided for the professors to teach. In overall, infrastructure was satisfactory.
I did graduation in economics from economics department of Punjabi University, Patiala. Quality of teaching was very good as professors were well versed with the knowledge of the subjects. Curriculum of the college was also very well structured and is updated according to the world universities.
I didn't experienced the placement processs in University as i was not interested to work after graduation. So the things i heard from my peers was that placement is good but not that satisfactory which it should be.
Yes, it is a government University which provide quality education at very minimal rates. It provide more value for the money, as fees over there was very less.
Canpus life was amazing, as you have access to library 24/7 hours. You can sit in study room and stody for whole night. Hostlers were getting good advantage of this policy.
No
The infrastructure of the university is wonderful . All the departments have digital classes and fully air conditioner classes for the students and staff. Infrastructure is very neat and clean of the university.
I am doing my MBA in the punjabi university patiala. Here all the teachers are admirable for the students and they are very good and happily behaviour with their students and heads of their departments and even the university heads.
Students get their better jobs in the universities on the basis of their education and experience and their ability of being able to work in the fields of education and technology and education and the environment.
