Any rank under 40000 will most probably get any NIT seat.

So your difficulty is to choose which NIT you should go.

I would suggest first decide which stream you want to choose.

Choose a NIT where your stream has more placements and good faculty.

It all depends on your interest. For example:-If you are good in chemistry then go for chemical engineering.If you are good in mechanics then go for mechanical engineeringIf you are good in programming then go for CSE.I was good and interested in electronics so I choose ECE stream. And believe me, I am the most happiest person in my section because I don't need to study so hard for securing good marks.I hope it will help, ask if help needed.
