Hello student. 1950 is a better rank. But since the competetion increases every year, the chances might be less to get computer science. But donot lose hope, apply for it and attend the counselling.

Since nits admission process has not yet begun, the top rankers would keep this as back up option. So there are chances for them to drop this and go to nits. I suggest you to apply and try. At the same time, apply for other colleges too to be on safer side.
