It conducts its own annual online entrance test to offer admissions to interested candidates in their programs. CS/IT/EC/ME are the most popular branches among students in Manipal Institute of Technology.

To get into these branches, one should secure a rank under 2000. Your rank will be decided by number of other factors like availability of seats, number of applicants to name a few apart from your performance in the exam (i.e. in each section of MU OET). So one can't exactly predicts rank based on MU OET marks as the marks will be normalized by the university while calculating ranks. To secure a seat in these three branches one should score 140+ marks, just to be on safe side.

However, Manipal allows two attempts for MU-OET out of which best one will be taken into final consideration, so if you are not satisfied with your performance in the first attempt, you will still have one more chance for improvements
