It actually depends upon number of factors

1. The difficulty level of exam. 2017 NEET was way to easy, especially the Physics section. Hence, cut-offs were very high.

2. The Category you belong to. General category cut-offs are much higher as compared to cut-offs for reserved categories.

3. The state you belong to. For govt colleges in each state, 85% seats are reserved for students belonging to the state and 15% are for All India Quota. So in your home state, for 85% seats, you are competing with students belonging to your state alone. There are a few states where competition is very high like Rajasthan, Delhi, Chandigarh etc. You need to check cut-offs for your respective state for more clarity.

You may get an MBBS seet but in a private college that too if you make it up to the final mop up round. For that keep urself updated regarding the schedule of the program, reporting time at the counceling, and the other pre requisite. But let me tell you the fee structure would be really high (18lakh+ per year)

You may get a BDS seet but that also in a deemed University/college. The fee structure will be less as compared to MBBS

I recommend you to keep an eye on the counceling pattern

Hello pratima,

With your minimum marks of 256 and  SC  category, you have chances of getting dental college easily more chances with state quota. You may surely apply for the counselling and try upto 3rd and 4th level of all india and state counselling.

Thank you!!
