Hope you are doing well. It is difficult for you to get government seat for mbbs in 278 marks in all India quota as well as in 85% state quota as well as in 15% all India quota. Since you didn't mention the name of your state therefore I consider you to be a general category candidate.

For getting government mbbs seat you need to score around 580 in state quota and 620+ in all India quota for general category. This cutoff marks is in accordance with the last year cutoff.

Although getting government seat for bams depends upon various factors like number of students appeared in the exam, category, region, state, state rank, AIQ rank,etc.

For qualifying in NEET, students must have to score minimum of 50 percentile for UR and 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category. And to get admission in the Good Private Medical college you must score at least 350 marks in NEET UG.

I'm assuming you are in general category. Even if it's not so, you're not likely to get a government seat with 278 marks. I'm sorry. If you are general, you need to score at least 610 to be in the safe zone. But it varies from year to year considering no of applicants and difficulty level. But you can get admission into private colleges with this mark as you've crossed the requisite cut off.
