Hello,

There are in total 420 seats in AEC. Students capacity per branch are as follows-

Mechanical - 60 ( It is the most difficult branch to get at AEC. So, for general category your rank should be in between 1–150.
Civil - 90 ( your rank should be in between 1–300/350).
Electrical- 90 ( rank- 1–400)
Electronics- 60 (rank 1–500)
CSE- 20 ( rank 1–400/450)

For other branches like industrial production (IP), instrumentation and chemical engineering, your rank can vary from 1–700.

See, this answer is on the basis of previous year analysis. This year it may vary. The choice of branch among students depends upon the placement scenario of the previous years.
