With this rank you will not be able to get CS or IT branch in the top NITs and IIITs but you can have some chance of getting a seat in the newer NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. You can also try for the special round of counselling as you might be able to get a better seat there. Hope this helps.

Sorry to say that you cannot get seat in NITs and iiits and gftis as the cutoffs are very high .

You can try for state colleges and universities also private colleges .

Many accept JEE score too like Jaypee , Thapar

Maybe try for Chandigarh University.

The cutoff for general category was 40000 for new nits crl last year
