U may very well know that this year the paper was pretty easy and as u belong to general category the competition is much high in ur category there might  be any chances. A/c to last year cutoff the opening rank was 9274 and sanding rank was 334275. Also cut off changes and vary each year.
I think you should better go for BDS, BAMS, BHAMS as the scope in this field is increasing day by day.
And if u are focused n determined then you can take the risk of drop year. Hope this helps u and all the best.
