I got 45% in (P.C.B.) in 12th and 61% in (P.C.B., English and Hindi) overall in 12th Class. Am I eligible for admission in BSc (hons) Agriculture ? What is 12th class eligibility? Only P.C.B marks are observed or overall marks from 12th class are taken into consideration for Admission in BSc Hons agriculture?

Hello there,

To be eligible for BSc (Hons) Agriculture, most universities focus on 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Since you have 45% in PCB , you might fall short of the typical requirement. However, some universities offer relaxation for reserved categories .

In some cases, universities might also consider your overall marks (including English and Hindi), and since you have 61% overall , you could meet their aggregate requirements.

Check with the specific university for detailed eligibility and any relaxation they might offer.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Eligibility for BSc (Hons) Agriculture varies by university, but generally, admission is based on PCB/PCM/PCMB marks in Class 12. Most agricultural universities, including ICAR-affiliated ones, require at least 50% in PCB/PCM for the general category (40-45% for reserved categories). Since you have 45% in PCB, you may be eligible in some universities, especially under reserved quotas. However, top universities may require higher marks. Overall 12th marks, including English and Hindi, are usually not considered; only PCB/PCM marks matter.

Hello,

To determine your eligibility for admission to a BSc (Hons) Agriculture program , it depends on the university or college you are applying to, as the admission requirements can vary. However, here are some general guidelines:

  • Eligibility for BSc (Hons) Agriculture generally requires P.C.B. (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in 12th grade.
  • Minimum Marks : Usually, a minimum of 50%-60% in P.C.B. is required, but you have 45%, which may fall short.
  • P.C.B. Marks Focus : Most universities focus on P.C.B. marks, as they are directly relevant to agriculture studies.
  • Overall Marks Considered : Some institutions may consider overall percentage (including subjects like English/Hindi), but P.C.B. performance is crucial.

Hope you find it useful !
