Deleep, you haven't mentioned your Category and whether you are enquiring about All India Counselling or State Counselling. Now if it is for All India Counselling, mop up round is only for vacant seats of Deemed Universities, Central Universities, IP Quota of ESIC Medical Colleges, AIIMS and JIPMER. No GMC will participate in All India Counselling. And so with a score of 501, irrespective of your Category, you might have chances for Deemed Universities under Management Quota and the fees is more than 50 lakhs. Now coming to the State Counselling, going by your profile, we understand that you belong to Kerala. And if ou belong to SC/ST Categories, you might have a chance for a seat in Government Quota of Private Medical Colleges but if you belong to General Category, the chances are slim. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hii,

Every year the admission in government college differ according to the cutoff and the difficulty level of the exam and also on the total number of candidates appeared in the exam.

You have not mentioned your Category you are belonging to otherwise I can suggest you accordingly.

But, 501 is a decent score in Neet to get admission in some top  private college for mbbs.

Or even you can apply for other courses like BDs, BHMS etc..

So i think you will have to wait till mop up round. And should try your luck

However to take the complete and final decision is totally depends upon your.

However you can take a year drop and prepare well for your next attempt even.
