u can get admission in IIT.

But, you will get some poor branches in New IITs.

Personally, I won't recommend you to take IIT until you have the only best option rest as advanced ranking but if you are too passionate about studying at IIT, you can try to join one.

Hi,

Congratulations on clearing JEE Advanced.

At your rank in OBC-NCL Category, you cannot expect any older IITs.

You can look for the New IITs. To know the trends of the closing ranks at all the IITs please visit the below-given link.

Hello,

Since you belong to OBC - NCL category and have secured 5407 rank, you stand very slim chances of getting into an IIT. Although the chances increase in case the applicant is a female. Here are some of the IITs you can expect -

  • IIT Kharagpur- Applied Geology(5 years), Chemistry ( 5 years)
  • IIT Jodhpur  - Bio-Technology.
  • IIT Madras - Biological Sciences (5 years)
  • IIT Gandhinagar - Material Science and Engg.
  • IIT Roorkee - Chemistry (5 years)
  • IIT ISM Dhanbad - Applied Geology
  • IIT BHU - Ceramic Engg. (5 years)

The above-mentioned colleges are the one where you have slight chances of getting into irrespective of your gender. Following are some good IITs where you can get in if you are a female candidate -

  • IIT Bhubaneshwar - Material and Metallurgical Engg.
  • IIT Bombay - B.S in Chemistry
  • IIT Mandi - Civil Engg. , Mech. Engg.
  • IIT Delhi - Textile Tech.
  • IIT Indore - Metallurgical and Material Science.
  • IIT Kharagpur - Material and Metallurgical Engg.
  • IIT Hyderabad - Material and Metallurgical Engg.
  • IIT Jodhpur - Mech Engg.
  • IIT Kanpur - Earth Sciences.
  • IIT Patna - Mech Engg.

According to me, if you are a female candidate I would suggest you to IIT Delhi. Although the branch might not seem to be as good since the 1 st year has similar content for all B.E courses, you will be studying same as what others do for the 1 st year. After completion of the 1st year, you will get an option to upgrade your branch on the basis of marks of 1st year.

However, its completely up to you to choose.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!
