This is rather confusing because if you have scored a rank of 57 in Food Technology then you would not get a seat in Remote Sensing. Remote Sensing requires knowledge and proficiency in subjects of Electronics and Communication Engineering like Digital Electronics,etc and a vast amount of knowledge in Softwares like MATLAb and also a general grasp of Physics which you have not been taught in your food technology course I presume. Also getting rank in one stream doesnot make you eligible for others. Hence I belive you have been clarified.
