There are multiple type of ranks given in the Eamcet result.one of them is the local rank,the rank which tells you how many no. Of students are before you in your region. It gives an idea so that you can estimate by yourself whether a particular college is possible or not for your rank.

But during councelling process, your overall rank is mainly considered and you can have good chances of getting seat when compared to other region student who is nearer to your rank while opting for the same college.
