Hello Piyush!

There are a lot options available if you are willing to pursue Bachelor's of Arts in Economics.

  • Firstly, do fill the application forms of Delhi University. Now Delhi University has two types of courses in Economics-

1. B.A. (Honours) Business Economics , the admission in which occurs through an entrance examination (objective type)

2. B.A. (Honours) Economics, the admission in which occurs on merit basis (the cutoff usually goes above 90-95% for General category, above 78-80% for OBC, above 72-75% for SC and above 70% for ST)

Do prepare well for the entrance examination of the former.

  • Secondly, do fill the application form of Jamia Mila Islamia (JMI), New Delhi too. JMI offers B.A. (Hons.) in Economics, the admission in which occurs through an entrance examination (objective type), which would test your Language Skills, General Awareness, Reasoning and Numerical Ability. The online application forms are available on the official website https://jmi.ucanapply.com/Entrance/entrance/?app-id=UElZOTAwMDA0MA==

Do prepare well for the same.

  • There are many other prestigious colleges all over the country, like St. Xavier's College, Mumbai/Kolkata, Fergusson College, Pune etc. Go through their online websites and apply for the same. Though their cutoffs are higher, still you must give it a try.
  • Lastly, there are colleges in South India, which offer triple major courses. For eg. Under Bangalore University, colleges like Kristu Jayanti College, St. Joseph and Christ University offer triple major courses like B.A. (JEEng) i.e. Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism, Economics and Optional English. Likewise there are many other colleges in South offering courses that has Economics as one of the core subject. If you are willing to explore your potential and scope, you may apply in these colleges. Plus admission in most of the colleges under Bangalore University is mostly through a counseling interview (except in Christ University, which conducts entrance examinations). You may go through the official websites of these colleges and the admission procedures.

Remember, NEET was just a phase. I am saying this because I have gone through the same experience.

Congratulations! It's wonderful that you have finally found your subject. You have a lot of scope in Economics. Just keep going! All the best and do well! :)
