The candidates appearing for JEE Main should be an Indian citizen and must have passed 12th with 5 subjects with Math and Phy as compulsory subjects.

Yes,you are eligible to write JEE Main but you will be able to get admission in IIT ,NIT if you score 75% in your 12th or are among top 20 percentile in JEE Main.

Yes , you are eligible for JEE Mains examination even if you have got only 70%.

This is because ,

There's no percentage barrier to be eligible for JEE mains

To be eligible for JEE mains 2020 for BE or Btech one just must be either appearing for 12th board exam in 2020 or should have passed it in 2019 or 2018 with Physics, mathematical and anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject


But yes,

To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs , jee advanced( for iits) one needs at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination.
