Comprehensive Guide: IIT's | NIT's | IIIT's
Hello aspirant!
The admission in NIT is largely depends upon the rank you are getting and not the percentile which again depends on the number of students participating and the toughness of the paper.
As far as last year's statistics is concerned 80.4 percentile should yield approximately a rank of more than 1.5 Lakh with which it is difficult to get admission in any of the NITs.
However you can still try if you belong to a particular category and because home state quota is also considered in admission in NITs, you can still hope to get an admission if you fill the josaa preferences wisely.
Good luck!
