Hello Aspirant

As you have score 88 out of 180 marks your predicted rank would be around 21000. This is just a predicted rank and not the actual rank. Your actual rank may vary.

Now to get into CSE branch from Amrita Amritpuri campus you should have a rank of 14000 or below if you have state quota. If you are from open category then you should have a rank of 4000 or below to get CSE in Amrita Amritpuri campus.

Now as you have mentioned that you have state quota, still it is difficult for you to get into CSE or any other branch with your rank. To get into CSE Amritpuri campus you need to score more than 135 marks being having a state quota.

So you have almost no chances to get CSE in Amritpuri campus.

You can try for other colleges if you have given some other entrance exams.

I still suggest you to wait for your actual rank list so that predictions can be made more accurately.

Hello dear aspirant

The cutoff trends changes every year and it depends on the number of students appearing in the examination, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. Getting a CSE seat is becoming really hard these days because of the huge demand.

According to your mentioned marks and previous year trends, your rank might be in the range : 15000-18000 (this may or may not be accurate due to varying trends every year). For open state quota previous (2017) closing rank for CSE was 1813. So there aren't much chances according to this. You can try applying for CSE in their Amritapuri campus. With this rank, you can try securing seats in their Bangalore or Amritapuri campuses. Just apply to their counseling process and know the exact cutoff. You can go through all options with AEEE here -

Hope I've cleared all your doubts!!

All the best for your future endeavours
