For securing 88K rank in the general category it is very tough to get a seat in NIT, but you may get a seat in your home NIT under home cota with that rank. Also, you can get a seat in your local colleges with JEE mains rank through state counseling. Hence, you can predict institutions and branches in JOSAA counseling and state counseling based on your rank and category on our JEE mains 2020 College Predator.

Sorry to say that with the AIR of 88k in jee mains you'll not get NITs as per previous records.
According to previous cut off trends, the cut off for NITs was around 50k.
You might get a chance in some NITs of North Eastern region if you've a home state category there.
Otherwise you may try in some private colleges which accept jee mains rank like Nirma University, PDPU, DAIICT, Thapar University, etc.
