JEE Main 2026: College Predictor | Official Question Papers
New: Apply to Multiple B.Tech Colleges Through Free 1:1 Counselling
Comprehensive Guide: IIT's | NIT's | IIIT's | Foreign Universities in India
Hi
It is very difficult to get NITs and IITs or good government colleges with this percentile but you can apply for good private universities or institutes who are taking their own entrance exam and having their own admission criteria like:
SHIVNADAR UNIVERSITY
NORTHCAP UNIVERSITY
MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
BBENNETT UNIVERSITY
IILM UNIVERSITY,GURUGRAM
LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY
BML MUNJAL UNIVERSITY
AMITY UNIVERSITY
SRM UNIVERSITY etc
You can also try for state level counselling for engineering admission.
IILM UNIVERSITY,GURUGRAM is offering B.tech in computer Science and Information Technology with contemporary computing areas like:
Cloud Computing
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Big data
Internet of Things (IoT)
Machine Learning
Deep Learning
Image processing
Block Chain
According to tur percentile in JEE Mains your rank in the common rank list for JEE Mains would be more than 200000. With this rank you won't be able to get a seat in any government engineering colleges. Even if you have category reservation and also home state quota, it would be difficult for you to get a seat.
So I would suggest you to go for some top private engineering colleges in India like
- Sharda University Greater Noida
- Amity University Noida
- LPU Jalandhar
- Chandigarh University
- SRM University
- Manipal Institute of Technology
Hope it helps
Hello
I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but 79.2 percentile is quite low for getting into NIT or IIIT.
with just 79.2 percentile you may not even qualify the cutoff of JEE mains if you belong to general category , for example 89.7548849 percentile was the cutoff for general category in JEE mains 2019 .
So if you want to get a seat in NIT or IIITs you should study hard and prepare well for your September session of JEE mains examination and try to get at least 97 percentile or more.
Solve previous year JEE MAINS questions , it will let you know the examination pattern, type question etc so that you can prepare accordingly
*Go through JEE MAINS mock test papers , it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination
Thankyou
The percentile for general category is observed to be around 89 whereas cut-off ranges from 40-75 for observed category. So if you belong to some reserved category then you have chance to get the seat. Good luck!
