If you are from general category then sorry to say that would not be able to get through any NIT or IIIT , as your mentioned rank is not enough to get admission in any of these. If I am correct his percentile must be around 93. So you can fill JOSSA councelling to get admission in some good GFTI's.

I would suggest you to go for other Engineering entrance and state level entrance exams like for GGSIPU , VIT , SRM , Manipal etc.
