Dear student,

No national entrance test is conducted in the country for B.Tech lateral entry in government colleges, private colleges, universities, etc.

The B.Tech lateral entry admission to various colleges is done on the basis of various state level lateral entry exams:

  • AP ECET
  • TSECET
  • UPSEE lateral entry
  • JELET

The eligibility criteria for lateral entry in B.Tech government college are:

  • Candidates must have passed a Diploma in the relevant field with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).

OR

  • Candidates must have passed B.Sc with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category) and class 12th with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
  • Other than this, candidates must satisfy the domicile requirements, age limit requirements set by the state in which they are taking admission.
