Chaitanya,

The cutoffs for admission to the various colleges also depend upon your category status, gender and home state, apart from your marks. You have not specified these details in your query, so I am going to answer your query in a generic way.

Now, to calculate your expected rank for B.Arch based on the percentile score that you have secured, you can use this rank formula:

So, (100 - your total percentile score) is the percentage of people ahead of you. Also, note that 112679 were the number of candidates who appeared for January exam.

So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 112679 /100.

Also, note that the ranks will change according to increase or decrease in the number of participants in the next session.

Now, according to this formula, your expected rank is around 8822 . Note that it is the expected General or All India Rank and not the category rank which is very difficult to predict at this point of time. Also, I have already told you that your category and home state considerations play a big role in deciding the cutoff and you have not specified these. So, assuming you belong to general category, the chances of getting good NITs are very small, however, you have chances to get NIT HAMIRPUR and a very small chance to get NIT RAIPUR only if the cutoffs increase a little this year and you belong to their home state.

However, you can try for some state level institutes and private institutions accepting JEE scores and also you have another chance in the next session, so concentrate on that.

Hello,

you have a good percentile but admission to any college is done on the basis of rank. Results are declared and you can check all the score details from there. Rank will be declared later after the april session so it is difficult to say as april session is not yet conducted.

On the part of admission, it depends what will be NIT cutoff range for this year for BArch branch. There will be little change to previous year charts for sure.

But it is also unpredictable. Wait until the cutoff are released and then apply as per your rank and cutoff of different colleges you find suitable.

Hope it helps!
