Dear Teja, EWS category is for those candidates from General Category whose family annual income from all.sources is less than 8 lakhs per annum. This is for those candidates who do not fall under SC/ST/OBC. You can only be eligible for this reservation if you belong to General Category and your family's annual income is less than 8 lakhs per annum. Or else, you cant claim this reservation.

Candidates were given an option during the correction window to change their category to EWS provided they are eligible.

If your annual income is below 8 lakh then you might be eligible
