Hello Hashim,

JEE Main is conducted twice an year(from 2019) by the National testing Agency(NTA) to provide admission into various undergraduate courses in Institutions like NITs,IIITs,CFTIs etc..One session of JEE main is already over in January and NTA also started receiving applications for those who want to appear for JEE main second session which is conducted in April.

By the percentile you scored, you will definitely be qualified to appear for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admissions into undergraduate courses in various IITs. And also since, percentile is introduced this year , it is unable to predict exactly whether you have a chance in NITs or not. But based on the percentile, you can calculate your All India Rank(AIR) using the below given formula:

As per the statistics given by the NTA, 8,74,679 candidates appeared for the exam across four days with two sessions each i.e for a total of eight sessions. There are a total of 15 students who scored 100 percentile in these sessions.

To calculate you JEE main score, you need  to know the percentage of people ahead of you.For that, you have subtract your percentile from 100 and it is multiplied with 8,74,679 divided by 100.

Therefore, the formula to calculate the JEE Main 2019 for January Session:

JEE Main rank(probable)=(100-NTA percentile)*874679/100

So, your probable rank will be around 9500, which is actually a good rank but as said, it is not an accurate prediction. And you can aim for a better percentile if you want a good branch in a good NIT. So, I would suggest you to give a second attempt to just in case improve your percentile.

Thankyou!

Hi aspirant,

You have scored a good percentile so don't worry about getting a good NIT. According to your percentile your general rank will be probably under 10,000. Under this rank ,you will able to get  CSE branch in NIT jamshedpur and also you will get good branch in other NITs like ece, mechanical, eee ,etc.

Good luck.

Helloo..

The approximate rank predictor formula is (100-percentile)*874469/100.

If we apply your percentile in the formula your rank will be around 9,500.

For this rank you will get the seat in best nits  and you may also get the seat you wish .

Hope you understand...
All the best..
