I got a 301 marks in neet 2019 and i am from open category, my chances for gvt. Medical college are fully nil. Should i drop one year.

I am sorry to say with this mark you have very less scope to get govt clg.

If you drop fr another yr remember that you have to work very hard and stay focused.

Practice a no. of sample papers.  Make a habit to give a 3hr test everyday. Make flash cards to memorize imp information.

Don't switch too many books. Stick to ncert for the theory part and go through the previous yrs papers to understand the question pattern.

Study smart and stay focused!
