It actually depends on which branch you're choosing to get into. Core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, CSE have high cutoffs most probably within AIR 80k - 90k but then you need to have atleast AIR in between 2,00,000 in JEE (mains) to get into any other branch as well. If you have AIR towards 1,80,000 then you can get into Production, IT, Chemical, Metallurgy, Electronics, Civil departments aswell.
