Yes, you can discontinue the study and get admission in to another college. But before taking any such decision you should be aware that there will be an age limit for admission in to few Engineering colleges or the entrance examinations for admission to Engineering. So you need to first make a list of Engineering colleges in which you are interested to get admission and check the eligibility criteria to get admission. If you fulfill the eligibility criteria you can apply for that particular college/entrance exam.

Also, please enquire regarding the process and term & conditions in the college you have taken admission to discontinue the study without passing in the arrears. You can then proceed to get admission in to a college.
