Hello,
Yes, you are eligible to do the Post graduation. 50% in UG from a recognized university is the general eligibility to join for PG. As you have 53% you are eligible, some of the universities will increase their eligibility % based on their standard and application numbers.

Yes you are eligible .
As a minimum criterion of eligibility for M.Sc. Chemistry course, aspiring candidates need to have completed:
  • Higher and Senior Secondary levels of education (classes X and XII) with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
  • Graduation (B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the main subjects), with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
