With only 5.38 CGPA in your B.tech(till 6th semester) it will very difficult for you to get a job in good MNCs. Because good MNCs ask for 65+ % with no backlogs I will advise you to go for GATE exam and try to get a good rank and score. once you get in a good college for M.Tech the you will surely get a good placement.

What I understand is you have 2 more sems to you hand. Try your best to increase your CGPA above 6.5 (6.5-7) Range, to be eligible for most Companies, besides working on your Skills and Strengths, and the domains where you are targetting Placements.
