Hello,

For MBBS admission in India , medical fitness rules require good eyesight, especially for both eyes. Generally:

  • Left eye: 6/6 – Perfect vision.

  • Right eye: 6/60 – Very poor vision (can see at 6 meters what a normal eye sees at 60 meters).

Most colleges require at least 6/6 or 6/12 in one eye and 6/36 or better in the other (without major defects). With 6/60 in one eye, you may not meet the standard medical fitness for MBBS , because it can affect clinical practice and surgeries.

You should check the specific medical norms of the college or MCI/NMC guidelines , but likely, you will need corrective measures like glasses, contact lenses, or possibly surgery to meet the eligibility.

Hope it helps !
