What do you mean by compartment passed?

Does it mean that-

i) you got compartment in a subject and then later you on you cleared your compartment examination and  passed in your 12th

ii) or you had 6 subjects  and you passed 5 subjects and so you are overall pass in  your class 12th with 5 subjects but you have failed in one subject.

If your case is that of case i) then you are eligible for admission in NIT and IIT you don't need to worry at all as it doesn't matter even if you have passed your 12th after compartment examination what all matters is that you have passed it

In case if your case is that of case ii) then your eligibility depends upon the subject with which  you have overall passed your 12th examination. The 5 subjects in which you have passed you 12th must include Physics,  mathematics and anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject. And also must have passed in a language subject. So, if you have passed in these subjects and also you are overall passed in your 12th board examination then you are eligible for NIT and IITs or admission in any other graduation as the basic eligibility criteria is to have passed 12th otherwise you are not eligible.
