Hi Lalit,

Surely you can apply NEET 2022 on the basis of your 12th percentage

Please check the eligibility criteria below which would give a clear picture about NEET

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 in PCB with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible to apply for NEET 2022. Aside from that, candidates must be 17 years old as of December 31, 2022. Filling out NEET 2022 Application Forms has no higher age limit.
  • Candidates from the reserved category can apply if they scored at least 40% in the qualifying exam. For those applicants, the qualifying criteria will be that they must have received a minimum of 45 percent in PCB in class 12 and English must be a compulsory subject.
  • Applicants who have taken biology as a second subject are also welcome to apply.

Hi

Yes , you are eligible for appearing in NEET  examination

This is because,

There is no rule which says that if you are doing diploma or any course you become ineligible for Neet examination, as to be eligible for neet what all one needs is :

********** to must pass 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

-----------)  at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

-----------) at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

-----------) at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this requirement  as per your category then you are definitely eligible for Neet examination ,even if you are doing Diploma right now and after qualifying Neet examination you can get admission in medical colleges for MBBS etc on the basis of rank or marks obtained by you in NEET

-----------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-The upper age limit  is 25 years as on the date of neet examination and there's relaxation of 5 years for obc ncl/SC/ST /PwBD students means upper age limit is 30 years for these categories.

†††† But since 2018, the case of upper age limit is pending in supreme court , and so there's no upper age limit as of now until supreme court gives its judgement over it.

-----------) There's no attempt limit for neet.
