Since you have completed Class 12th with commerce and want to become a government teacher while continuing your job, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Right Path

To become a government teacher, you need to meet the qualification requirements:

•    Primary Teacher (PRT) → Class 1-5 : Minimum D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) after 12th.

•    Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) → Class 6-8 : Requires Graduation + B.Ed (Bachelor of Education).

•    Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) → Class 9-12 : Requires Post Graduation + B.Ed.

Since you have commerce in 12th, the best option is to complete Graduation (B.Com or BA) along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed.

4. Prepare for Teacher Eligibility Tests (TETs)

• After D.El.Ed/B.Ed, you must clear exams like:
• CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) – For central govt. schools.
• State TETs – For state govt. schools.
• KVS/NVS/DSSSB/APS exams – For specific government teaching jobs.

5. Apply for Government Teacher Jobs

Once you qualify for TET, you can apply for government school teacher positions in central/state schools.
