General eligibility criteria for MA in history is that the candidate should also have obtained a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in the bachelor program.
In bachelors degree in any course is allowed by most of the colleges but there are many colleges which give preference to those who have studied history or any related Arts subject.
So it actually depends on the college and University.
