If you want to pursue computer science engineering or software engineering, then its definitely recommended to take up Programming language like C++ and Java.
However, they shall ve part if curriculum in first year itslef.

Yiu should also learn more language like Ruby, Pyothon, R,. Net. They will boost your jib prospects and decipher more opportunities into roles lije Big Data Analytics and Artificial intelligence which has been in high demand.
