It is a great institution with fantastic infrastructure spread across 780 acres that is well maintained. The recent mushrooming of satellite centers in various locations is pulling down the value of the main institute. Location and hence attractiveness to quality faculty is another disadvantage.

Batch of 2016 | B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
The biggest drawbacks of this college is its management which is very poor. The college lacks in quality of faculty, infrastructure and there is zero Industry Exposure. Many students take admission in this college due its ranking in various magazines but actually it is not up to its reputation and ranking.

Infrastructure is very good although mesra,Jaipur campus is located in industrial area with less space and that's why the students hate it . In this campus getting 7.5 above is difficult it means it's absolute grading comparatively based on cgpa according to the given rule . From this institute we can learn discipline, self study, motivation ,dignity. This college also boasts the placement record in ECE,CSE,IT,EEE.

Batch of 2020 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
It has been a great experience for last two years in the college. Initially in the first year it was quite tiresome going to the college and coming back to hostel....and then again going back for the classes. But the examination time has been a great time, studying the night before the exam... But yes as the days passed things became quite good and then intresting. A great place to pursue one's graduation.

BIT Mesra with a beautiful campus of 780 acres, is regularly ranked within the top 15 engineering colleges in India. I'll share my experience, being a student here what I feel. Faculty- Certainly not the best in the country, not even close. Some of the older professors are good but focus less on research. Some of the new professors work hard and make our Engineering life a bit tough. Academic load - It borders between zilch and extremely light. It also varies between departments though. Electrical and Electronics was pretty well taught and rigorous, whereas CSE has a little less work to do. Electrical department has some very strict profs. Mechanical department is refreshingly hands on and students gain a very good practical understanding. Students and Peer Group Probably the highlight of the institute is the quality of student intake. Due to the rankings being consistently in the top 15 or so, the student intake is the high rankers of the JEE Mains. From an intellectual section of the society, student here are amongst the cream of the country. It is no surprise that the institute boasts of a pretty strong Alumni network, and the college is now beginning to realize this potential in its placements. Student Activities Given that all these bright minds have little or no academic work to take care of, the vent they find to their intellectual and creative pursuits finds expression in a vibrant student activity scene. There are student clubs will organize a plethora of events and fests ranging all across the spectrum. Cultural as well as technical pursuits are taken up by the students with fervor. Any technical proficiency that a student may acquire during his time here, is almost entirely down to the events and fests organized by clubs. Facilities I would say the facilities (sports, labs, infra) are about at par with the NIT's. Right now the campus is undergoing a renovation and the class rooms are being upgraded. The college has LAN in all the rooms as well the campus has been turned into a wi-fi zone. Most important we have "DC" here. Placements Due to the location, placements were not really something the institute could really brag about until after about 2006-07 onward. Nowadays, placements are quite stunning and companies like Facebook have offered mega packages and overseas jobs to a few students. In terms of quantity, placements have always been almost 100% with everyone landing some kind of job, and about 30% of the students end up with multiple offers. All in all, it is not a bad place to go to if you are looking for more life lessons than course lessons. The institute may not be a production line for techies and world-beaters, but it does have a track-record for producing well-rounded individuals, many of whom have done well for themselves in the industry.

College life is one such journey which one wants it to be never ending. I'm no exception. The atmosphere it gives is just amazing. The pear group is healthy and is always competitive. That's the real success of the college. Moreover faculties are always encouraging, well qualified and love to teach their children (exception exist everywhere). One important aspect of BIT is that it's lab facilities are way to good. They have one of the leading lab facilities. The infrastructure of the college is overwhelming.College has all sports equipments, grounds, clean rest rooms, spacious class rooms, smart boards, vast library, wifi throughout the campus.college becomes more awesome when u can set u own time table.college has a system of ffcs (fully flexible credit system). As a student who enters the college for the first time he/she is always scared of ragging, but astonishing there is no ragging in our campus. Our college students are very laborious and also involve in many extracurricular activity with their academic activity.college placement is also so good than other colleges.I love my college and trust me I'm in my best phase of my life.

The classes have old benches and desks and need to be replaced. The ratio of girl is to boy is very low. Lack of good water facility. Most of the faculty lack the knowledge of new discoveries and are unable to impart knowledge efficiently. Teachers don't teach in the area in which they specialise rather any teacher teaches any subject or course which I feel is not good. Good facilities are available for having fun. There are locations in nearby which can be considered as outing and picnic spots. All in all it is an average experience till now.

College life here is quite good. The overall development of a person takes place in the environment of this college. The infrastructure is good but not updated... And the faculty is not up to the mark, which is a major drawback for bit Mesra. The best thing about this college is the senior-junior interaction. The seniors are very supportive and helping. The placements are decent enough but has a lot of scope for improvement.

College have a good reputation across the nation and it stands according to it. Environment of Bit Mesra is enriched with green trees. It is a home of variety of roses Nd other plants. Hostel life is great but if quality of food is excluded. Intiatially you will find mess food great but with course of time the quality gets detoriated. Faculty are good. They are highly educated and experienced. College life is full of new experiences. You will get involved in various clubs ranging from cultural to technical clubs. Dance club, music club, dramsoc club are to name a few . You won't get help from your faculty in your subjects. Here comes seniors. They are the most helpful people. You can ask them about anything , regarding studies, girlfriend problem, nearest restaurant etc. Ragging is completely forbidden inside campus. Placement session is cool here. Loads of companies visit campus during placement drive. Tnp cell work hard to get students placed. Overall this is good college with beautiful campus.

Our College needs an auditorium. Campus location and whether conditions are awesome. BIT Mesra management, is developing this campus at a serious speed. There is ample opportunity for growth. This college lacks a bit of exposure. If you are coming to this college, be sure to remain active on various online platforms for internships and courses from the very beginning.

Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Information Technology
The college lacks a lot of things even after living for 60 years on this planet and in this nation, India. Lots and lots of restrictions by the management to various student activites halts the growth of a student for the outside world. Neither industry exposure nor foreign exchange programmes available which further adds to the bane of student life. Academic circullum still being followed what it was 10-20 years back, no updations with modern current technologies has been updated. Each course syllabus is the index page of one book picked out of ten books, irrelevant of what it contains inside. Though it is a co-ed, still professors make to their best to be the college like boys and girls separate! That old traditional thinking still revolves in the environment of this campus to separate the students based on their sex in every walk of campus life, be it classes or circicullar activities or annual cultural fest arena. Infrastructure still lacks the modern day necessary amneties that are must yet not available. Hefty amounts of fine is charged from students for a number of things -- having outside food in hostel, or even having a party, even on late night entry in college campus if no valid proof provided, owning a vehicle, or even on roaming around with a different sex partners found doing PDA or entering late night in campus with them. Nothing is too good or great about the TnP cell or placement cell about this campus. Comparing to other colleges of this age, this college has definitely dug its own grave for its rutheless behaviour and weird unexplainable nature of number of professors towards students. Charging over around a lakh and a half fees per semester from each student, definitely the college and top management is digging up a big grave to store money so to live a king life for next 100 years with their great grand kids, probably! A popular proverb, "if there is a will, there is a way" totally stands here for this college, coz this college never going to have its will to improve to betterment as one can see what not happened in last 60 years , what do one expect in future from it!? The only good thing, a quite handful sum of students come up every year, live here for 4 years and try to do the best for themselves, their peers and juniors what they could to have the best of college life!!

College life is always exciting lots of clubs to joins, lots of friends but being in Ece ,its like we hav to run that extra mile for the fulfillment of our objective. Because very few core companies visits our campus so the competition is really very furious. Infrastructure is improving day by day(every time construction is going on ...in either one or the other departments) . Now about the faculties , as said there are 2 sides of every coin , some of them deserves great adulation others are just worthless to talk about . Now about the cultural activities , very few actually take place in our college others ultimately got cancelled for some by smal reasons . On summarising my experience of all these three years ....it was full of ups n downs ...but all over it was a nice experience till now.

Bit Mesra, the dream institute for many engineering students and those with technical background.. But as the time has passed it has lost its touch. It now remain a structure to earn millions for it's management.Although placement are up to the the mark but the quality has definitely degraded.. Only best thing about bit is it's hostel life and it's natural environment. And yeah of course it's placement.

This is the college whom a serious student can take because administrator is not good as u will expect... placements of core branches are good...and sports activities are fine.college curricular activities are good...fest is not that much entertaining as of iits because administration is so strict in all this.Infrastructure is so good as the college have..one can get admission in this college... senior junior interaction is so poor...just because of no introduction of juniors who came in first year.

I have a good review as well as bad for my college life I participate in many technical events like pantheon, kshitiz etc. Also I organised many cultural festival like bitotsav as well as technical events like JSEF.In my college life I also lead a NGO dristi in bit MESRA campus in this NGO we organised and structured the system of NGO in MESRA system. This NGO is based on basically technical and social integration of nearby rural villages. But college administration didn't support us never. We face a lot of difficulties to run a NGO with our campus students without help of administration.i didn't have more pointer but I know how to communicate and lead a team.I have 2 backlogs in my college life.one in heat and mass transfer and another one in manufacturing process.but I cleared that back paper with 9 pointer .System of our college wrong at many places like difficulties to recheck copies of examination. Student suffer to walk around examination department again and again for copy check. My college have many labs some labs are excellent some are little old our department every year bought new equipments.so totally I have good as well as non supportive behaviour of administration of bit MESRA.

Every department has its own buildings, labs and all. College manages internship programmes. So many active clubs, participation in every field in various contests. Fantastic fests, regular DJ nights, and much more to enjoy. Healthy food facilities in the mess. Very healthy culture among mates as well as seniors. All the profs are well qualified and experienced holding PhD. Fees are bit high but worth it.

BIT Mesra has one of the best campus in India. Being one of the largest campus by area, it has the potential of being a outstanding place for learning. The faculty is generally very helpful, and well versed in their area of expertise. Our fests and events are top notch and stand well upto the standards set by various IITs. But where our college fails, is the management. The beauracratic nonsense and the general laziness of the clerks, deans and coordinators on any kind of student related matter is frustrating to the core.

Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
->Please keep in mind my ratings were only of the Mechanical Department/faculty. I've found most other departments to have impressive teaching faculty and approach to teaching. ->The reason anyone in my batch joined this college for a degree in mechanical was the fame surrounding the name of this college, but since long it has been dying due to the lack luster faculty being employed. Any college tends to have experienced and renowned faculty teaching the senior year students, but here we have freshers who , forget teaching, do not have even knowledge about the subject which is outright pathetic. -> Yes, most colleges these days have a lack of good teaching staff, yes we all struggle on our own to grasp the subject, even that is alright, but what do I say about those cases where we have doubts to be answered? not everything can be googled ,not everyone has the patience to too.(thankfully google is seeing me through to graduation though) So what happens when faculty sucks and someone will not pursue the library (the library is pretty decent, but even here the staff sucks) nor google?, he loses interest . Whatever dreams of building cars, aeroplanes, buildings, what not will all die down over time. Some may argue that this death of interest here is what leads some students to deviate and fall prey to negative companionship. -> Yes , the administration...God. I don't know where to begin and where to end. It's as disastrous as it gets. Death of student welfare, unreasonable restrictions all in the name of safety, indifferent attitude to student interests. I can go on and on, but today I actually realize this is common in many places in India, guess our movies didn't paint the right impression on us afterall. -> Forget the people running the college and the ones teaching. The rest of the people on campus are amazing. There are people ranging from Google/Tata interns to backlog babas from innumerable disciplines, and everyone has contributed to my life in inexplicable ways. Smartness, wit, humor , talent , determined, BIT has every bit of a dynamic student crowd under the sun so much so that even after all the disastrous way its being run , its name always echoes amongst the best in the country. RIsing fees every year does not deter talent from coming here. This speaks for itself. ->But then the college wants to make money. Yes, intake through JEE but a private institution right, so double digit fee figures. This is being increased with every passing batch and being cashed well with an increase in intake every year. This is not being matched by the placement department and practically too, difficult . 50% placement in core is the best case for Mechanical/chemical/electrical branches. CS/IT/ECE students (above average ones) though have absolutely no dearth for employment opportunities with almost every student getting two offers , many make it through GATE,GRE,GMAT,CAT too. The college name really counts . ->Few branches (chemical/polymer/prod etc) are very dynamic, and have very good links with industry and have something to offer for their students beyond their classrooms. -> Innumerable clubs and societies which can be found on the college website actually are very good, every student sweats out to make it count in there and learn to be the best, more can be found via their respective fb pages. Every student who has been affiliated with clubs actively has been placed with ease. Sometimes club activity becomes a very deciding factor, thus realize this is serious business and BIT has extremely good tech and non tech clubs, sadly though plagued by the admins (yet surviving, so still thanks to them) -> boys hostel, first year , lucky-sharing, not lucky-single, second year on single rooms. Girls always sharing. Ugly hostels, most people hate mess food. I say survivable. To be called an engineer, I understand this is a traditional struggle everywhere. ->I've worked with numerous clubs and thus had the chance to meet some of the best brains around, mind you, not only the high CGPA ones but , the best of dancers, photographers , musicians, dramatists, poets, and innovators . We've seen crazy things like the topper going without placement and a guy with 11 backs getting placed proving again that pointer isn't necessarily everything (trust me luck counts a lot in college ;) ). The college fests are overrated but are still good and impart the necessary fun to both the organizers(students) and the general crowd. There are highs and lows , if you can afford the fee, have the patience to withstand a repressive sort of administration, and are unaltered by quality of faculty (who knows , the situation might change the day I leave here), this place isn't really that bad. The college name helps you in your pursuits off campus , though sometimes the location becomes a hurdle. Placement for above average hard working, balanced students in circuital is pretty easy with a median salary of >8LPA, non-circuital is harder (Civil/biotech are pretty bleak) and median is around 4-4.5Lpa which might be improved if the bundle of BIT's wide alumni be tapped efficiently. There is always something to learn and enjoy, there are also tons of places to chill around the campus.

The infrastructure and facility available on campus are good wrt to nearby NITs & other colleges. Here one can enjoy his college life by involving himself in different types of activities apart from studies which are organised throughout the year & can developed his skills. Some of the professors are good but some are really irritating who only come to the class as they were assigned to take class & only threaten students on the name of attendence as 75 % attendence is mandatory. In recent year placement for Non- circuital branches(Mechanical,Civil,Chemical,Production,Bio Tech ) were not good. Not too many companies are visiting to the campus & on the contrary the Batch strength has been increased continuously. Also the Fee is a major issue. So I would suggest that if you can get Circuital Branches(Computer, IT ,ECE) then take admission otherwise not.

Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Large campus, loads of trees, set up in rural area. Teaching methods are ancient though improving and catching up. Student satisfaction in average due to a lack of a student union. Mechanical Department has reliable, working and modern machines; research on these coupled with the right professor can do wonders. Strict rules around the campus. Though, in the 4th year, the job opportunities(placements) at the end makes up for all.

My college provide all the required equipment. Lab facilities are very good. For better industry exposure more industrial visits and internships should be provided. So many fests and the environment are helpful in creating a wonderful environment. These days core placements are on a low but for cs and it branches its good.Good companies should be approached and psu should be here for campus placements.Hostel Provide individual rooms second year onwards. In first year it is on a 2 student sharing basis. A night canteen, good food, well equipped mess, common room, tv room, reading room, playing room, feild etc are some of the features of hostels.
