It will not give you any benefit as you have filled the form as a general candidate so it will not affect in your ranking or getting a seat because you will be treated as a general unreserved candidate.

If you have not corrected the EWS category in JEE mains form, then sorry to say, nothing can be done now.
Because the last date for correction of category in JEE applications was 17 April 2019 and you could have corrected that by logging in your account at the official website of NTA.
As for now, you will be considered a general Candidate and will be given admission as the same.
