According to me if you want to study in any IITs desperately then only take a year drop else,

Go for any on the NITs rather than to go with CSE from LNMIIT.

As NITs are the colleges of national importance and you feel great inside the campus

CSE at LNMIIT would be a gud choice .

I'll suggest you to take drop. Prepare very very hard for IITs. The life at IITs are much better than other private institutes or even NITs. You might regret not giving it another shot. So just go for it. Otherwise take NIT if you are flexible with your branch preference, else go for CSE.

Best option from the above will be CSE from LNMIIT....then metallurgy/civil in NITs ......only at last you should think of a one year drop..........of your dream is to get into IITs and NITs(top) then only think of dropping a year.......altough you are getting good options right now....may be not 1 year later!!
