For applying to the state quota, you need a proof that you belong to the state. Domicile is the one thing that provides this proof. Hence, it is very important to have your domicile to participate in the state quota. It matters least in which state from where you have done your 12th, it won’t prove that you are a candidate of the state. Hence, if you have not made your domicile, I would recommend you to make the same within time.
