In usual times, the eligibility criteria for JEE Main examination is as follows:

1. Minimum 75% marks in XII (General)

2. Minimum 65% marks in XII (SC/ST/PwD)

But due to the COIV-19 pandemic, National Testing Agency has removed the minimum marks in class XII requirement for JEE Main for the year 2022. So, you CAN apply for JEE Main and even get a good NIT if you do reasonably well in JEE Main.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
